The German Wood Machinery Equipment Exhibition LIGNA was founded in 1975 and is held every two years. It is a grand event for the world's top woodworking and wood processing industries, and also the world's first woodworking exhibition.

LIGNA 2023 is the world's leading woodworking and processing trade exhibition, lasting for five days and filled with innovation, inspiration, and exchange. From May 15th to 19th, 2023, 1300 companies from 50 countries showcased their solutions for the wood and furniture industry, wooden crafts, and primary industry. The focus is on the major trends of sustainable development and digitization.
